We’re just crazy about the new eLearning program offered by SBI!
To follow up on this post, SBI eLearning,
we’ve got a great video that we know will help you see all that eLearning has to offer.
In March we told you about Sitesell’s new SBI eLearning course. Now that it’s been offered for a while, you might be interested in hearing a little more about this course.
SBI eLearning is a small business online course. It follows the famous Site Build It CTPM Process , which is Sitesell’s “secret sauce” to creating successful web sites, and uses the SBI tools. Best of all, the ecourse is led by a live instructor so you don’t get lost along the way. Site Build It is a great integrated way to learn how to build a small business online. The thing is, not everyone has the constant motivation and staying power needed to “Do It Yourself” online. And there’s nothing wrong with admitting that you need “real people” guidance along the way. In fact it’s probably for that very reason that Sitesell developed their SBI eLearning small businsess online course in the first place!
You might be as tired of hearing about the economy as we are but the fact is, our financial futures are ultimately in our own hands. We can’t recommend enough that you consider taking a small business online course and start earning on the internet. Anyone can do it but you do need certain tools, marketing advice and of course, lots of dedication. With this small business online course you can start your own internet based business based on something you love and finish the course in 12 weeks having already made your first money online.
Do any of the circumstances below describe you?
* Lost your job
* Your job is insecure
* Need to supplement your family income
* Need to replenish your retirement funds
* Want more for yourself and your family
* See the potential online but are not sure how to get started
* Have a home based business you want to bring online
* Tried to start an online business but aren’t earning any money
* Have a hobby you’d like to leave as a legacy
* A mom who doesn’t want to go back to work after baby
* A student who is willing to put in a few hours a week to help pay college expenses
* Or maybe you have a job but you want independence!
If any of these (and more) sound like your situation, then the SBI eLearning small business online course can help change your financial reality. It’s changed ours and 40,000 – 50,000 others too!
If you are questioning your education level, computer skills or technical knowledge…Stop right now! This small business online course takes you by the hand every step of the way. None of the following are an obstacle…
* Level of education
* Amount of computer skills
* Technical know-how
* Location and/or time zone
* Age or Gender
Of course the program is not a “too good to be true” thing either!
* You do need to attend the classes
* You should do the assignments
* You’ll want to participate for maximum learning
* And it does cost money to take the course- although it’s very affordable
So what’s the nitty gritty?
The SBI eLearning small business online course is a 12-week program taught by a live instructor. These instructors, who have also taught the physical offline course, are successful online business owners in their own niche. With a 12-student maximum per class, students have the opportunity to ask questions and get the attention they need to progress confidently through the small business online course. And as mentioned earlier, there are no prerequisites (i.e., no technical knowledge or experience needed) for registration).
SBI eLearning combines self-study aided by interactive videos, review quizzes and online text documentation with weekly online “live†90-minute sessions with a dedicated instructor and fellow classmates, e-mail technical support, and the additional guidance of current SBI owners in the private SBI Forums.
Students graduate, not with a diploma, but literally with the foundation of an income generating small online business. SBI eLearning is ideal for nearly anyone (please see list above).
Registration fees cover tuition plus a full year subscription to the Site Build It (SBI) suite of tools used to execute the “Content–>Traffic–>Presell–>Monetize†business building process taught in the SBI eLearning small business online course. Currently, a time-limited introductory price of $598 is available, a special $200 rebate off the regular $798 offering.
You’ll earn, and then earn… from home (or anywhere!) What could be more practical in today’s uncertain economy?

One of the best ways to build long-term traffic is to develop an ongoing link building program. You want as many relevant links pointing to your site as possible. There are a variety of ways to accomplish this. You can hire a Virtual Assistant, outsource it and/or use a cool free program that SBI offers called
Value Exchange.
What we mean by relevant links is that you don’t want to exchange links with just any ole site. The sites you exchange links with should…
Links from a quality website are much more important that having a whole bunch of junkie sites linking in. In other words, it’s better to have a dozen partners with good, relevant content than hundreds of partners with low quality websites that have little relevance to your site’s theme.
We’ve spent time on our link building programs and while the actual process can be a little on the boring side, (okay, a lot!) the traffic building benefits later on make it all worth while. One of the biggest challenges however, is finding those quality links and then getting them to respond to you.
We use several methods, one of which is the SBI Value Exchange program. There are two forms of this program, the one that comes with SBI and a free one for non-SBI users. The SBI Value Exchange program makes the link building process a whole lot easier than doing it all on your own. You’ll save a ton of time and find qualified leads fast.
The way SBI’s Value Exchange works is you enter information about your site, a short summary, keywords, etc. and then submit it to their database. The software (or whatever it is) goes out to the web and searches for sites that are related to yours and instantly puts you in contact with other site owners that have sites relevant to your topic. How easy is that?
If you’ve ever researched online looking for sites to exchange links with, using SBI’s Value Exchange will be a dream by comparison. The searching and contacting is all automated and done for you. A real time (and sanity) saver.
Not only can you join the SBI Value Exchange link-building program for free if you don’t own SBI, but you can also download a free e-book called “Make Your Links Work” that teaches the most effective ways to build long-term traffic to your website. It’s a good read.
Note: Non-SBI! customers will receive limited benefits of the Value Exchange program but it’s definitely worth trying the free program out. SBI owners get a more robust access to the additional automation and management tools that make managing their link campaigns so much easier.

Did you know that 95% of blogs are quickly abandoned, never to be posted to again? A recent NY Times articles goes into more detail: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/07/fashion/07blogs.html?_r=1
SBI is a strong proponent of building a quality, content rich Web site over building a blog. That’s not to say that that they are totally against blogs. They just think sites stand the test of time better.
We’ve had a couple of blogs including this one and one thing we totally agree with is it’s really hard to keep up with a blog on a consistent basis. You are all fired up when you first start out but then it becomes a chore, a heavy weight on your shoulders.
Another thing about blogging is that you don’t have much guidance on how to organize it, how to keep things fresh or how to build it into something that will earn money.
Blogs take a lot of time and like we said can become a monkey on your back.
One of the blogs we had [link: chickmagnate.com] was rolling along great for quite a while. Then things changed for us in our personal lives and our beloved blog went by the way side. Our traffic plummeted and it’s been sitting there ever since in the blog poppy field. It still looks great (we think so anyway) but no one visits. We could kick ourselves now because if we had made that a Web site – even an SBI site, our traffic would have kept on growing over time. Increasing traffic is another key point in favor of building a Web site over a blog.
Another thing is that both of us have made far more money on our sites. In fact, we’ve made very little on any of our blogs even when we did spend time regulary providing what we felt was original, valuable information. We just felt that with the blogs, people were in and out. They read a post or two, maybe posted, glanced around at best and then they’re off to the next thing. Pretty hard to sell something to folks who are there and gone within minutes.
It’s different when it comes to Web sites.
 Â
Another thing we look back on now is that we didn’t market our blog much. We counted on keyword generated traffic and such but we never thought about inbound links, article marketing and other marketing techniques. I guess because we did not always have direction.
Relationships are tough to build on blogs too especially with hundreds of new ones popping up everyday. A Web site on the other hand allows you to build relationships in a variety of ways and if your site is decent, your visitors tend to stay longer. For whatever reason, they seem to connect better on a Web site.
So here’s the question…
Why don’t people just build Web sites?
We guess it’s because most people online want “fast and easy.” They want to believe they can make money with as little effort as possible. It’s just human nature I guess. That little “get-rich-quick” voice starts talking in their ear and they’re off chasing the next thing. We know, because we’ve fallen for it too.
So Why The Big Buzz About Blogs?
But…
After a while blog’s content falls off the main page. Visitors typically don’t visit old posts. Think about it. Do you visit old posts? Who has time for that when there are so many up-to-the minute ones?
A specific topic-focused content site on the other hand can be constantly adding evergreen content. Search Engines come back because they know there will be long-term, enduring value provided on a site.
After many learning experiences online, we realize that any successful business requires persistence, learning the right skills, and implementing a plan over the long haul. And we mean the really long haul. This is what the SBI! process offers without needing tech skills or constant attention. And the result is a long term business that will succeed and stand the test of time.
If you are starting to wonder about this site vs. blog thing, check out the comparison chart on this page about doing an SBI! site as opposed to a WordPress blog. We think it’s quite helpful…

Now, it’s true; we’re a bit biased about Site Build It. Not only do we have sites with the company but we also work for them behind the scenes, helping other SBIers get up to speed. Even so, we’re always amazed at how SBI continues to overdeliver the goods. Read more about the latest offering from Sitesell: Read more »
As our economy continues to spiral downward, I’ve been thinking long and hard about how I can earn extra cash for my family. I don’t think my husband is in any danger of losing his job, thankfully, but we’re feeling the pinch, too, with rising medical care costs (an extra $200/month) and an employer that is no longer contributing to his 401k. Not that his 401k is worth much right now anyway
You would think that the InterNET and NETwork marketing would go together like a match made in heaven but that’s not how things have played out over the last several years. The majority of Network Marketers Read more »
