Site Build It Review

I have one niche web site with Site Build it that is just one part of my (small) internet empire.  To round things out, I also have a few blogs, minisites and BANS stores, too.  I have my finger in a lot of pies, but my SBI site basically runs on its own at this point, so my time is freed up to focus on new business ventures.

So in a nutshell, I have a lot of balls bouncing in the air, but thankfully, my Site Build It site is basically on auto-pilot, which allows me to work on other projects whenever I want.

I’ve been with SBI since July 2005.  I wasn’t one of those people that hold onto the site for months before I do anything with it; I was so excited to get an internet business going that I worked over time, often 12 hours a day, to get the site up and running.

As most new sites experience some growing pains, mine was no different.  Google sandboxed me, Yahoo pretending I didn’t exist…all typical things for new web sites.  However, I stuck with it, building pages and getting those all-important inbound links.

Currently, my web site has over 450 pages (thanks in major part to an AMAZING module called Content 2.0 which allows visitors to create content for you!);

I get 1500+ unique visitors…per day.  And if I shared my main keyword with you, you’d find my site in the Top 5 Google results all the time, now.  Between my valuable content, specifically written to attract both search engine rankings and visitors, inbound linking strategies, and choosing a niche with great demand, but little competition, I’m sitting pretty with Google and all the other search engines.

And that’s all well and good.  But what you probably REALLY want to know is…just how much money does this site earn per month?  Because monetizing isn’t my strength and my target market are primarily freebie seekers, I rely on Adsense and ebook sales for my income.

Depending on the season (summers tend to be slower), this site generates anywhere from $450 – $700/ month.

Now, I know that’s not a fortune.  But for a hands-off site that continually gets traffic and continually earns me money, I have no complaints ;)   I basically set it up…and forget it.  This is a site I can hold on to for a lifetime, let it do what it does best…and keep cashing my checks.

Site Build It costs $299 per year. Considering my site makes me many times that amount each year, I think it’s an investment better than the stock market!
